Pastry Flour Delivered!
Hey Kids,
I'm sitting at a truck stop in Ontario, Ca after delivering 42,500 pounds of pastry flour yesterday morning in Irvine, Ca. One of the pictures you see is of the truck stop I took last night. Another shows Las Vegas, Nv as I passed through. The other picture was taken on the California/Nevada border on Interstate 15 heading south at sunset. Sunset and the few hours preceding it is my favorite time of day.
By the way, I am uploading smaller pictures, but if you click on them they will get bigger.
Today I am picking up a load in Fontana, Ca and taking it to Tempe, Az for delivery tomorrow morning. I am not sure what I am picking up, but I will let you know in my next post. Have a great day Kids! Gots to get back to truckin.
Blessings,
~TruckerTony

ReplyDeletewere you scaeed of the fire .
what did you do of the fire.
Hey Sophia,
ReplyDeleteWhile the snow melted, I sat inside the building behind the truck and drank some coffee and worked on my computer. It was the next day after that snow that i had to dig out! Not fun :(
Hi Karen,
ReplyDeleteI have heard a few comments about your castles and coat of arms. It sounds wonderful. When i read books, my favorite time period to read is about the Crusades. You will learn about this time period in later grades. It was a time when Christian armies battled in the Middle East. Kings and castles are always mentioned in these stories. Thanks for writing!
Hi Marc,
ReplyDeleteI went through New Mexico. But, when I went through El Paso, Texas yesterday you could see Mexico just on the other side of the freeway. That is how close the Mexican border is in El Paso. Thanks for writing Marc! Write again!
Hi Lorenzo,
ReplyDeleteWell, it depends on what part of the country you are in as to how it looks. In the West, the only good beaches are in California. When you get to Arizon and New Mexico it turns to desert, but there are different types of desert. Some have a lot of green, and other types of desert have nothing but rocks and sand. Some of the Arizona desert looks like it is actually painted...in fact they call it the Painted Desert. Las Vegas, Nevada is a great place to see at night. Did you know that when the space shuttle is in space, the astronauts can see the lights of Las Vegas? Thats how many, and how bright the lights are. And there are many good places to eat in Las Vegas, and actually nearly everywhere I go. Thanks for writing and write again!
Hi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteThe fire was scary. When you drive with fire on both sides of you it is hard to concentrate and you have to pay attention to what the other drivers are doing. The best thing to do is just get out of there as quick as possible without stopping. Write again!
I bet it was heard to take out your truck from out the snow
ReplyDeleteHave you meet any people.
ReplyDeletewhat places have you been to?

ReplyDeleteWhat does UT look like? What temp is it on UT?
ReplyDeleteWhat state are you on how many miles are you on?
Hey Alona,
ReplyDeleteMy truck was hard to get out. It took a few hours and I was very wet and cold when i was done. I do meet a lot of people, especially in the truck stops when i am taking a break. It is interesting to hear the stories they have.
Most of the time, there are not many cars around when i drive because much of the United States does not have anyone living in a lot places. For people like you and me who are from California it is hard to understand that because as soon as you leave one city you are right into another one. Most other places in the US, it could be many miles between cities, so there is no traffic.
I really like my truck too...and I am getting a brand new one soon! Thanks for writing!
Hi Sophia,
ReplyDeleteI have been to just about every state except the New England states. Do you know which states those are?
My truck is big for me. Some trucks are much bigger. My truck has the power of 425 horses...thats a lot of power!
Today it is not hot...in fact it rained most of the day. I am in Joplin, Missouri today and will be leaving tomorrow to go back west.
i do not have a pet because my company does not allow me to. But if i could have one, I would have a small dog so he could sleep on my bed with me.
Hey Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI am doing great today! Especially now that I am out of the tornado's! Thanks for writing!
Hi Nicholas,
ReplyDeleteUtah is a very interesting state. It has many National parks and monuments. Can you name at least one National Park or Monument that is located in Utah?
There is desert and mountains, the Great Salt Lake, wonderful skiing and other stuff to do there. I will send some neat pictures in the future of Utah for you.
Right now I am in Joplin, Missouri so I don't know the temperature in Utah, but I found out from a friend that it snowed in my hometown of Cedar City, Utah yesterday.
This trip I am on took me about 1,400 miles. Tomorrow I leave for Flagstaf, Arizona and that trip will be about 1,100 miles. I am guessing that I have driven over 400,000 in the past 4 years. Thats almost 1/2 of a MILLION miles! Thanks for writing!
How long did it take out your truck.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what one national park is.
